San Marcos Asphalt Paving was founded in 2020 by a crew that had spent years doing pavement work across North San Diego County. The idea was straightforward: build a paving company that treats every job - whether a residential driveway or a commercial parking lot - with the same level of prep work and care.
San Marcos is a city that has grown fast. A lot of the homes here were built in the 1980s and 1990s, and those driveways are now 30 to 40 years old. Add in the inland heat, the low humidity, and the clay soils that shift with seasonal rain, and you end up with surfaces that need real attention - not just a fresh coat applied over a failing base.
We started in San Marcos and have since expanded to serve 12 communities across the county, from Carlsbad and Oceanside on the coast to Poway, El Cajon, and Chula Vista further south. Every job starts with an honest look at what the surface actually needs, and we tell you upfront - even if the honest answer means recommending a smaller repair instead of a full replacement.
